La máscara tambien posee cierta importancia dentro de su ritual de apareamiento; cuando dos croconauts se atraen, estos suelen seguir un comportamiento especifico que da lugar a su unión dentro de su grupo social.
Este ritual consiste en que ambos se "desnudan" en privado, compartiendo sus máscaras, abrazados y entrelanzando sus colas.

Una vez ocurre la concepción, la hembra entra en hibernación durante 12 meses y el macho se encarga de llevar comida al nido una o dos veces a la semana. La gestación tiene una duración aproximada de 213 días o 7 meses. Por lo general las hembras paren de 1 a 2 crías estando aún dormidas, aunque se despiertan por limitado tiempo cada tantos días para alimentarse o salir a defecar.
Las crían se alimentarán de un calostro especial rico en grasas durante los primeros 6 meses.Los crokits (crías de croconaut) podrán salir del nido aproximadamente al primer año de vida, una máscara temporal de un material parecido al hueso les cubrirá el rostro, esta máscara se caerá al cumplir los dos 2 años, similar al proceso de pérdida de los dientes de leche de muchos animales.Mucho antes de que esta máscara temporal se caiga muchos crokits ya están en proceso de creación o construcción de lo que será su futura máscara permanente.

Información y guías visuales

Los croconauts no poseen una apariencia física establecida, pueden variar ya sea por el estilo de vida que tengan como por el tipo de clima en el que se encuentren, esto es lo que hace que puedan poseer parecidos con muchos otros mamíferos o criaturas ya existentes.Las únicas dos cosas a tomar en cuenta al crear tu croconaut, sea de clase peligrosa o clase silvestre es la siguiente; deben poseer una osamenta en la región de las costillas y un quinto dedo en las patas inferiores.

No existe tampoco un estilo artístico al cual apegarse al dibujarlos, eres libre de darles tu toque especial!

El diseño de esta osamenta puede variar, por lo general está más desarrollada en las clases peligrosas ya que es un reforzamiento natural que protege sus órganos vitales al momento del combate.En hembras el diseño de esta osamenta puede llegar a ser más ornamental.

Los croconauts de clase cruel pueden ser dibujados con cuernos extra grandes y poseen en general una apariencia más intimidante que su contraparte silvestre.

Sugerencias artísticas

A continuación tendrás ejemplos visuales que puedes utilizar para crear tu propio croconaut, recuerda, son sugerencias, lo que significa que puedes hacer algo diferente o fuera de lo que veas en estos ejemplos! tampoco hay ningún problema si sacas referencia o inspiración directa de dichos ejemplos.

Orejas y manos
Los ejemplos en cuánto a orejas son variadísimos, estos son solo ejemplos básicos; pueden ser con o sin pelaje, estilo fennec, murciélago, etc.
Incluso pueden tener más de un par de orejas, el cielo es el límite baby!

Las manos pueden ser dibujadas en cualquier estilo, ya sea toony o algo más realista.
La clase cruel es la que tiene permitido dibujarse con garras afiladas extra largas.Pueden tener variaciones estilo ungulígrado (pezuñas), variar el número de dedos, tener o no almohadillas, etc.

Máscaras (Clase Silvestre)Las máscaras representan la personalidad de un croconaut. Pueden ser de cualquier material, madera, planta, piedra, metal, cuero, hueso, mecánica incluso elementos mágicos como fuego.
Pueden estar inspirados en máscaras reales o representaciones de las mismas.

Don'ts

Las únicas cosas que no están permitidas en croconauts de clase silvestre son las medias máscaras o máscaras transparentes. Su máscara debe cubrir toda su cara, y puede ser de cualquier material mientras éste no sea transparente.Sin embargo, los clase cruel si pueden ser dibujados con medias máscaras, asimétricas, sin máscara en sí, etc.

Accesorios

Pueden ser dibujados con cualquier clase de accesorios, incluso pueden llevar lentes o cristales en sus ojos (mientras estén por encima de su máscara)Tambien pueden usar ropa humana/humanizada, armaduras, armas, etc.

Almas
la cara de un croconaut sin máscara se le llama "alma", ya que para ellos esto representa su corazón, la verdadera naturaleza de un croco sin su máscara.

Por lo general el alma tiene un parecido a un cráneo exterior, aunque puede dibujarse de forma más simplista y minimalista. No es necesario dibujar los cráneos con full detalle o realistas, aunque tampoco está mal si deseas hacerlo así xdlas variaciones de almas sin ojos pueden tener el guiño de que su máscara SI puede poseer ojos funcionales... o no, como tu quieras (;

Osamentas
Estas son sugerencias en cuánto al diseño de sus costillas. Las hembras pueden ser dibujadas con osamenta de macho y viceversa.

Alas

Las alas son totalmente opcionales para cualquier croconaut, sin embargo, solo los Soul-seekers y los Chief pueden ser dibujados con alas grandes, o incluso más de un par.

ColasAl igual que las orejas, estos son solo ejemplos muy básicos.
Sus colas pueden tener huesos, cuernos, escamas, plumas, ser extra largas, tener más de una, incluso no tener cola como tal.
Pueden tener elementos extras como fuego, agua, plantas, armas, bocas / ojos, ser vizcosas, etc.

Máscaras (Clase cruel)
Estos diseños pueden servir tambien para las subclases Soul-seeker y Chief.

La clase cruel SI puede utilizar máscaras que cubran una parte de su cara. Incluso pueden no utilizar máscara como tal.

Clases

Los croconauts se dividen en dos clases: Silvestre y Cruel.La clase silvestre envuelve las subclases Tame, Rogue, Imp, Savant y Chief.
Esta clase se comprende por una naturaleza desde tímida hasta alegre, por lo general son inofensivos contra las personas y otros animales.
Los croconauts de clase silvestre pueden mutar, dependiendo del tipo de actividad o interés al que quieran dedicarse, y estos viene con cambios en su apariencia y en personalidad.La clase cruel envuelve las subclases Exiled, Forsaken y Soul-seeker.
Esta clase posee una naturaleza más peligrosa y como su nombre lo indica, cruel. Suelen ser muy impulsivos y agresivos incluso entre sus mismas subclases, con excepción de los forsaken que a pesar de clasificarse como peligrosos tienden a evitar hacer daño a otros.Los croconauts de clase silvestre pueden mutar a Clase Cruel, lo que hace que su apariencia cambie y se hagan más grandes, intimidantes y su personalidad se vuelva más temperamental y peligrosa.Sin embargo, una vez mutan a clase cruel ya no es posible revertir estos cambios.Nota importante: Las subclases, más que cambios estéticos, son para elegir la personalidad que busques con tu croconaut; si quieres un croconaut que no sea cruel pero que tenga actitud guerrera o valiente puedes hacerte un subclase Rogue, si por el contrario, buscas que sea un ser sediento de sangre sin escrúpulos y con gran poder, puedes hacerte un Soul-seeker, si por otro lado, quieres hacerte un croconaut con una apariencia intimidante pero incapáz de hacer daño, entonces puedes irte por un subclase Forsaken, por dar unos ejemplos.Toma en cuenta que si quieres hacerte un croconaut que no utilice una máscara por default puedes irte por alguna subclase peligrosa, ya que son los únicos que pueden prescindir de una. (:Los únicos que mantienen una apariencia inofensiva y suave en general son los croconauts subclase Tame, fuera de eso puedes elegir la subclase que quieras adaptar en base a la historia/personalidad que quieres que tenga tu croco.

Clase Silvestre

Subclase Manso / TameSon los más pequeños de todas las clases. Por lo general son de naturaleza calmada y dócil y pueden venir en una gran variedad de formas, aunque su apariencia general se mantiene inofensiva.

Subclase Pícaro / Rogue
Los croconauts subclase Rogue son ligeralmente más grande que su contraparte Tame.
Son más serios y enfocados en naturaleza y están mejores adaptados a actividades de resistencia o pelea.

Subclase Diablillo / Imp
Esta subclase tiende a ser de naturaleza más traviesa y engañosa, casi siempre se enfocan más en sus propios intereses.
Tienden a causar problemas y daño a otros, aunque esto no sea parte de sus planes.
Si su naturaleza muta y se torna demasiado peligrosa pueden terminar mutando y volviendose croconauts exiliados.

Subclase Savant
Esta subclase es de croconauts que han obtenido suficiente conocimiento para volverse talentoso en una o varias áreas (p.e curanderos, control de elementos, nigromante, etc...)Sin embargo, a pesar de ser habilidosos, los savants son de naturaleza MUY retraída y asocial, incluso entre otros croconauts, y por lo general suelen colocarle un precio para a estos "talentos", lo que significa que no tienden a ayudar a menos que algo realmente les resulte conveniente.

Subclase Jefe / Chief
Los croconauts jefes son los más grandes de entre todas las subclases.
Son vistos como líderes poderosos entre largos grupos de crocs y por lo general sirven como protectores contra ataques de otros croconauts exiliados y Soul-seekers.Poseen una naturaleza sabia y benevolente, tambien tienen la habilidad de poderse comunicar con los humanos.
Sin embargo, esta sublclase no es tan común en comparación a las otras subclases.

Clase Cruel

Subclase Exiliado / Exiled
Los croconauts exiliados son crueles y salvajes por naturaleza. Pueden cazar otros croconauts para canibalizarlos o robar sus máscaras.Su apariencia general suele ser intimidante.A veces pueden servir a un Soul-seeker como peones.

Subclase Redimido / Forsaken
Los croconauts redimidos suelen ser solitarios de naturaleza ya que son rechazados por todas las otras subclases.A pesar de tener una apariencia muy similar a la de un exiliado, ellos repudian su propia naturaleza cruel y evitan causar daño a otros.Los soul-seeker y otros exiliados tienden a odiar a esta subclase.

Subclase Soul-seeker
Los croconauts soul-seeker son el equivalente cruel a la subclase Chief.
Son seres muy poderosos que se manejan bajo fuertes deseos de dañar a otros.
A veces suelen requerir sacrificios y pueden influenciar a otros croconauts exiliados para que cacen por ellos.

Reglas generales de la especie

Reglas de arte
1.Evita el uso de la especie en arte irrepestuoso, político o de mal gusto.2. Si subes arte gore o de temática adulta/sugestiva (ya sea en Discord o el grupo de FB), por favor recorta tu dibujo, si es un dibujo con sangre esconde la sangre. (Si tu dibujo no cumple con la censura apropiada tu publicación/post puede ser removido hasta que esto sea corregido.)3. No está permitido el uso de la especie en arte fetichista extremo (diapers, scat, emetophilia, etc)Si alguna de estas reglas es incumplida recibirás una advertencia, si se continúa irrespetando estos parámetros continuamente puedes terminar baneado de los grupos oficiales de la especie (Discord o FB)

No necesitas ningún permiso! te recomiendo chequear al final de la página para que te unas a nuestro discord/grupo en FB que allí tendremos eventos promocionales para artistas, adopts y comisiones relacionadas a la especie ♥¿Puedo vender adoptables u ofrecer comisiones relacionadas a la especie?
Sis x2, eres completamente libre de ofrecer tus comisiones u adoptables tanto en el grupo de FB como en discord!NUEVO - ¿A quién debo dar créditos por la especie?
Puedes darme créditos como NX6 o NX6Arts cual sea sirve (:NUEVO - ¿Hay un sistema de aprobación de diseños?
No. El canal en discord de "Submit-croconaut" está con el propósito de registrar los personajes de la especie, pero no hay ningún sistema de aprobación de diseños como tal.No existe tal cosa como "rechazar" un diseño, a menos... que utilices algun tema o simbolismo inapropiado, r-cista o n-zi en tu diseño.
En ese caso se te pedirá que remuevas el personaje y corrijas el diseño.
Pero ya está, esa es la única excepción, después de todo es tu diseño, tu personaje, yo no tengo ningún poder en decirte que debes y que no debes hacer con tus propios personajes (:NUEVO - Habrán traits restringidas o pagas?
No. O al menos esa no es mi intención con la especie. Los miembros son libres (incluso se motiva) de ser creativos en cualquier idea o inspiración que quieran tener con sus crocos.
Aún así puedes preguntarme pero habrá un chance del 99% de que te diga que sí xdYo, como la creadora principal no tengo intenciones de poner restriciones creativas de ningún tipo en la especie.Miralo como que la especie pueda ser usada como base básica para cualquier idea que quieras con ellos (ya sea uso personal, vender adopts, customs o comisiones, etc...)
La única excepción sería evitar plagiar, hacer carbon-copy o robar diseños de otros miembros y/o artistas Pero esto es sentido común que no creo que debería mencionarse (esto tambien incluye lo que mencioné más arriba acerca de simbolismos o marcas inapropiadas)¿Hay establecido un precio especifico para vender adoptables?
No. Ninguno. Ponle el precio que tu sientas adecuado, sin importar si es un Tame, Chief o Soul-seeker. Esto aplica tambien para tus comisiones.¿Puedo hacer híbridos de otras especies con un croconaut?
Si! Si son de otras especies cerradas asegúrate de tener el permiso de su creador/admin primero, de mi parte puedes hacerlo sin ningún problema.¿Que debo hacer si ya no quiero formar parte de la especie?

Masks also has a certain importance within their mating ritual; When two croconauts attract each other, they usually follow a specific behavior that leads to their union within their social group.
This ritual consists of both of them "undressing" in private, sharing their masks, hugging and intertwining their tails.

Once conception occurs, the female goes into hibernation for 12 months and the male is responsible for bringing food to the nest once or twice a week. Gestation lasts approximately 213 days or 7 months. Females usually give birth to 1 to 2 pups while still asleep, although they wake up for a limited time every few days to feed or defecate.

Croconauts do not have an established physical appearance, they can vary either by their lifestyle or by the type of climate in which they find themselves, this is what makes them similar to many other mammals or existing creatures.The only two things to keep in mind when creating your croconaut, either cruel class or wild class is the following; must have an external bone structure in the rib region and a fifth toe (dewclaws) on the hind legs.

There is also no artistic style to stick to when drawing, you are free to give them your own special touch!

The design of this external rib can vary, it's more developed in the Cruel class since it's a natural reinforcement that protects their vital organs during combat.In females the design of this rib-external bone can be more decorative.

Cruel-class croconauts can be drawn with extra-large horns and are generally more intimidating in appearance than their wild counterparts.

Artistic suggestions

Below you will have visual examples you can use to create your own croconaut, remember, these are suggestions, which means you can do something different or outside of what you see in these examples! there's also no problem if you reference or draw direct inspiration from these examples.

Ears and hands
Ear examples are very varied, these are just basic ideas; they can be drawn with or without fur, fennec style, bat, etc.
They can even have more than one set of ears, sky is the limit baby!

Hands can be drawn in any style, be it toony or something more realistic.
The cruel class is the one allowed to be drawn with extra long sharp claws.They can have unguligrade style variations (hooves), vary the number of fingers, have or not have pawpads, etc.

Mask (Wild Class)
The masks represent the personality of a croconaut. They can be of any material, wood, plant, stone, metal, leather, bone, mechanics, even magical elements such as fire.
They can be inspired by real masks or a representations of them.

Don'ts

The only things that are not allowed on wild-class croconauts are half or transparent masks. The mask must cover the entire face, and can be made of any material as long as it is not transparent/clear.However, cruel class can be drawn with half masks, asymmetrical, no mask at all, etc.

Accesories

They can be drawn with any kind of accessories, they can even wear glasses or crystals in their eyes (as long as they are above their mask)They can also wear human/humanized clothing, armor, weapons, etc.

Souls
the face of an unmasked croconaut is called "soul", as to them this represents the heart, the true nature of a croc without its mask.

The soul usually has a resemblance to an external skull, although it can be drawn in a more simplistic and minimalist way. It's not necessary to draw the skulls with full detail or realistic, although it is not bad if you want to do it that way xdeyeless soul variations may have the hint their mask CAN have functional eyes... or not, is up to you (:

These are suggestions to rib's designs. Females can be drawn with male bones and vice versa.

Wings

Wings are entirely optional for any croconaut, however only Soul-seekers and Chief can be drawn with large wings, or even more than one pair.

Tails
Just like ears, these are just very basic examples.
Their tails can have bones, horns, scales, feathers, be extra long, have more than one, or even have no tail at all.
They can have extra elements like fire, water, plants, weapons, mouths/eyes, be slimy, etc.

Mask (Cruel class)
These designs can also work for the Soul-seeker and Chief subclasses.

The Cruel class CAN wear masks that cover half of their face or just a small part of it. They could even not wear a mask at all.

Classes

Croconauts are divided into two classes: Wild and Cruel.The Wild class involves the subclasses Tame, Rogue, Imp, Savant, and Chief.
This class consists of a shy to cheerful nature, they are generally harmless to humans and other animals.
Wild class croconauts can mutate, depending on the type of activity or interest they want to pursue, and this comes with changes to their appearance and personality.The Cruel class involves the subclasses Exiled, Forsaken, and Soul-seeker.
This class has a more dangerous nature and as its name indicates, cruel. They tend to be very impulsive and aggressive even among their own subclasses, with the exception from the forsaken who, despite being classified as dangerous, these tend to avoid harming others.Wild-class croconauts can mutate into Cruel-class, causing their appearance to change to become larger, more intimidating, and their personalities more temperamental and dangerous.However, once they mutate to a cruel class, it's no longer possible to revert these changes.Important note: The subclasses, more than physical changes, are to choose the personality for with your croconaut; if you want a croconaut that's not cruel but has a warrior or brave attitude you can make a Rogue subclass, if on the contrary, you want it to be an unscrupulous bloodthirsty being with great power, you can make a Soul-seeker one, if on the other hand, you want to make a croconaut with an intimidating appearance but incapable of doing harm, then you can go for a Forsaken subclass, to give a few examples.Keep in mind that if you want to make a croconaut that doesn't use a mask per default you can go for any Cruel subclasses, since they are the only ones that can go without one. (:The only subclasses that maintain an overall soft and harmless appearance are Tame subclass croconauts, apart from that you can choose the subclass you want to adapt based on the story/personality you want your croco to have.

Wild Class

Subclass TameTame croconauts are the smallest of all the classes.
They're usually calm and docile in nature and can come in a variety of shapes, their overall appearance however is harmless.

Subclass Rogue
Rogue croconauts are slighty larger compared to regular tame croc's.
They're more serious and focused in nature and are more adapted to fight and endurance activities.

Subclass Imp
Imp croconauts are mischievous and misleading in nature, often more focused in their own interests.
They tend to cause problems and harm to others, although this is not always intended.
Is their nature takes a darker side they can mutant and become exhiled or forsaken croc's.

Subclass Savant
Savant are imp croconauts that gathered enough knowledge to become skilled in one or several areas (p.e: healing magic, fire control, necromancy, etc...)However, despite their abilities and inteligence, savants tend to have a more detached and loner nature and usually put a cost to these "services" to other croconauts.

Subclass Chief
Chief croconauts are the largest of all the classes.
They're seen as powerful leaders by larger groups and often serves as protectors from exiled and soul-seekers attacks.
Their nature tend to be wise and benevolent, however, they're not that common compared to other classes.

Cruel class

Exiled subclass
Exiled croconauts are cruel and savage by nature. They can hunt other croconauts to cannibalize them or steal their masks.
Their appearance tends to be intimidating.
Can also serve as servants from any Soul-seeker.

Forsaken Subclass
Forsaken croconauts are loners since they're rejected by the other classes.
They repulse their own cruel/violent nature and try to avoid doing harm to others.
Soul-seekers and other and exhiled crocs tend to hate this subclass.

Soul-seeker subclass
Soul-seekers are the cruel equivalent to Chief croconauts.
They're powerful beings usually driven by bloodthirsty nature.
They often requires sacrifices and can influence exileds to hunt other creatures for them.

You don't need any permission! I recommend you to check at the bottom of the page to join our discord/group on FB, where we will have promotional events for artists, adopts and commissions related to the species ♥Can I sell adoptables or offer commissions related to the species?

No. The discord channel "Submit-croconaut" works for registration purposes but there's no actual system approval of any sort.

In that case it'll be asked to remove the character and fix the design.
But that's it, that's the only exception, after all it's your design, your character, I have no power in telling what you should or shouldn't do with your own characters (:NEW - There will be premium or paid features?
No. Or at least that's not my intention with the species. Members are free (it's even encouraged) to be creative in whatever idea or inspo they have with their crocos.

I, as the main admin I have no intention to put creative restriction of any sort in the species.See it like the species being used as a basic base for whatever idea you may have with them (be it for personal use, adopts, customs, commissions... etc)

Yes! If they are from other closed species, make sure you have the permission of their creator/admin first, from my side you can do it without any problem.What should I do if I no longer want to be part of the species?You are free to leave from both the FB group and Discord!
If you have characters that you no longer want to be related to the species you can delete the textual information that links them to the species. As easy as that!
You can re-join again whenever you want.Do you have any doubt that is not described here?
